Round 9
First week back after the break and the sun was shining down on us all for the “Think Mental Health” Round. It’s a great reminder to check in with your team mates and look after not just your physical health, but your mental health too. Was great to be back at it after the holidays, and so lovely to have some sunshine :)
U7 Shadows
It was the perfect weather for the Shadows game against the Chargers in Busselton. The Chargers proved to be tough competition, but the Shadows kept up strong defence and attacking skills to score plenty of goals. The Shadow’s practice in passing the ball during training was evident as everyone shared the ball amongst each other for an all round strong team effort. Jimmy was awarded player of the match, for his persistence in defending the ball, fair tackles and an awesome goal!
U8 Falcons
With the second half of the season underway it seemed the Falcons learnt some world cup skills over the break. It was a true team performance today sharing the goals between Marco, Marshall, Winston, Lenny and Ashton and well supported in defence by Billy, Finn and Matthew. Player of the day today went to Marshall for some good positioning and leading.
U10 Raptors
Raptors had cracking first game back from the break. Started off slow as the competition was fierce from the Legends. But after half time the Raptors rallied. They focused on holding their positions in defence and attack. POD awarded to Bodhi for following up the ball in the goal square and scoring an awesome goal.
U10 Legends 11
What a fantastic game of junior football!
The Legends came out firing in the first half, playing some terrific team football across the park. The defence was outstanding, working together to shut down the opposition, while some strong runs through the middle created plenty of exciting opportunities and shots on goal.
The second half saw the opposition mount an impressive comeback, showing great skill, determination and teamwork. Their attacking pressure kept the Legends’ back line on their toes, but our players never stopped working hard and showed plenty of grit right through to the final whistle.
Both teams should be proud of the way they played today. It was a great contest played in the right spirit, with plenty of effort, teamwork and sportsmanship on display.
A big congratulations to our Players of the Match – Sonny and Hutch! Both boys had outstanding games, leading by example with their effort, determination and teamwork. Well done, boys!
U11 Dragons
What a perfect day for football! ☀️
The sun was shining, the smiles were everywhere and the Dragons took on the BCFC Possums in a fantastic match full of energy, teamwork and determination.
Every player gave it their all showing great sportsmanship, improving skills and plenty of team spirit from the first whistle to the last. Days like these are what junior football is all about having fun. Well done Dragons and BCFC Possums, and thanks to all the families, coaches and volunteers who made it another great day of football!

U11 Serpents
The Serpents faced DTFC Lightning this Saturday, kicking off the second half of the season in great form. Teamwork shone throughout the game, with sharp passing leading to some fantastic goals. Defence was outstanding, with special mention to goalie of the match, Elsie! Zephyr and Liam both had stellar games, each scoring a couple of goals to earn Player of the Day. Thanks to Burger Baby for the POD prizes.
U12 Roos
On a beautiful day for soccer, the U12 Roos travelled to Busselton to take on the MUSC Giants.
The Roos got off to a flying start, with Noah Hull finding some space in the opening minutes to score the first goal of the match. As the first half continued, both teams worked hard to move the ball forward and create attacking opportunities. Despite the strong defensive effort, the Giants were able to find an equaliser before the break.
The second half was just as competitive, with both sides determined to keep the pressure on in attack. Louie stepped into goals and did a spectacular job, making some fantastic saves and giving the team plenty of confidence. The Roos showed terrific teamwork from start to finish, with every player contributing and supporting one another throughout the game.
Player of the Match: Noah Hull, for his early goal and strong all-round effort. Enjoy the treat from Candy cow!
Well done, Roos! Your teamwork, determination and positive attitude made for a fantastic game. Go Roos!
U13 Breakers
The Breakers took a while to find their feet after the holidays with the Capel Wolves scoring a goal straight off the whistle. Eventually the Breakers started talking and some passes started to take shape. The Breakers then scored a goal. The game proved to be a tight contest with the Breakers sending some epic passes across goals but struggling to put the ball into the net. Oscar scored the first goal to earn POD along with Mireya who defended ferociously. Thanks to Two Cracks Coffee for prizes.
U17 Mustangs
The Mustangs travelled to Dardanup this week to take on the Eaton-Dardanup team for the first time. The home team played valiantly - and a man down no less - but were unable to get through our defense to score. Mustangs had multiple scorers to take out the win 0-5. Big thanks to Gary Leigh for stepping in to Coach in Peter’s absence. Was great to see you on the side of the pitch again.
