junior sponsors
OUR SPONSORS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO US. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF OUR JUNIOR TEAMS.
Round 16
Round 16 dawned with some dark clouds on the horizon, and rain falling to sign off the season. Lots of games going on, and some of those important to determine the fairest and best, plus top of the ladder in some leagues.
Next week we have the LNJSA FIFA Cup Finals, with our U12 Legends, U13 Wyverns and YL Wanderers taking to the pitch hoping to bring home the trophy. Up The River!!
Round 15
Round 15 arrived with a stressful start to the day! Mother Nature did not play nice with our pitches this week, with both Pitch 1 and 2 deemed unplayable due to the wet conditions. Luckily the other grounds in the region drained so those games weren’t affected, but all FMR FIFA games were postponed, with the exception of the YL game which made a quick change of venue to play in Busselton!!!
Round 14
Another exciting round of games for our Juniors, and other sunny game day. Hopefully it hangs around for the week so the pitches can dry out after the last few rainy weeks.
Round 14 was also our Quiz Night, with teams battling it out to take out the win. This year we held in it the Clubrooms. Anita in the Canteen was cranking out the goods supported by Grace, Sophie and William. Thank you all for making the magic happen and keeping the food and drinks flowing.
Round 10
What a week! Round 10 is light on Match Reports with multiple games either cancelled or moved due to pitch flooding at Capel, Barnard Park and here at home on the Upper Western Oval! Mother Nature is not being kind to us. Lovely sunny days to dry the pitches off during the week, then a battering on Friday night/early hours of Sat morning. Fingers crossed for a dry week - and weekend for Round 11 next week!
Round 8
It was a welcome return to the sunshine for our last game before the holiday break. Spirits were high as some teams had an FMR Derby, while others took the show on the road and battled it out away from home.
I hope everyone has a great 3 weeks break, and we will see you all back for the second half of the season soon!!
Round 7
With heavy rain in the South West, and a lazy 100mls of rain falling in Margs from Thursday, it was a cold, wet and muddy affair for most of our teams. Our pitches were the worst hit, but luckily were deemed playable. Hopefully we get some sunshine this week to dry things out for this weeks game’s!
Round 6
It was a big weekend for FMR. We hosted the ever popular Jillaroos nights on Friday and our Junior FIFA teams had the FIFA Cup Quarter Finals in Busselton on Saturday! Great to see that 9 teams are through to the Semi-Finals.
Then on Sunday, the Seniors were at home. The Mermaids Prems and Busselton City FC met in the inaugural Vicky Dawson Cup in honour of a woman who was involved in both Clubs, and much loved by the local soccer community. FMR took out the trophy which was presented by Andy Longmore, Vicky’s brother and FMR Life Member.
Round One
And we’re back! 27 FMR teams hit the pitch ready to play their first game for the season! And for a number of kids, their very first game of Club soccer!!
It’s great to see our numbers growing each season. This year we have moved our U6-U9 Teams to Rapids Landing for training and games to accommodate the growth of the Club and help the Pitches maintain condition throughout the season. Soccer is getting B.I.G. in Margaret River. We are the biggest Club in the Leeuwin Naturalise Junior Soccer Association, and our future is looking good!
Onto the games.
